mac mail missing password field

Mac mail, accounts, missing password field for all IMAP email accounts. I updated Yahoo password online, how do I update password in mac mail?

Sorry, but this does not work for me either. I have a gmail account and I changed the password. There seems to be no intuitive way to update the password within mac mail. The password field is missing and going to internet accounts shows no method of changing the password either. So much for macs being intuitive and easy to use.... Apple you really are losing your touch.

Hey djb72563,
I understand that you recently changed your Yahoo account's password and need to update it. To do this, you need to go to System Preferences > Internet Accounts. This will allow you to change that information and it will update this in Mail and other apps that use this account. Take a look at the article below for more information. If this is not your version of OS X, this will still work with previous recent versions and even OS X El Capitan.
